Your Communication Skill is Like Your Smile

For Elementary and Intermediate-level learners, their English skill is like their smile.

Why?

Because when you meet someone for the first time, one of the first things they will notice is your smile.

Now, imagine someone smiled at you with gaps in their teeth, how would you feel?

The same thing happens when you don’t speak smoothly in English.

All those small parts in your sentence – the missing Articles, wrong Prepositions, the pauses between words, your thinking time, even the lack of an “s” at the end of some words – you might think they’re not big and not important but they are. They’re very important.

That’s why we have to constantly aim to fill those gaps in our sentences.

To speak fluently (flowing) is to speak smoothly (without gaps).
